Vice President Li Yuanchao Meets with Guests from UK
2013-07-11 20:00

On July 11, 2013, Vice President Li Yuanchao met in Beijing with Chairman Stephen Perry of The 48 Group Club of UK.

Li Yuanchao said that it is in the fundamental interests of the people of the two countries to develop China-UK relations. The economies of China and the UK are highly complementary to each other with huge potential for cooperation. Hope the business communities of the two countries will carry on the spirit of "Icebreaker" which broke the trade blockade 60 years ago, seize the opportunities with a long-term perspective, and explore new growth points of mutually beneficial cooperation to make new contributions to expanding bilateral economic and trade cooperation and promoting in-depth development of China-UK relations.

Perry said that The 48 Group Club is willing to follow the trend of world economic and trade liberalization and to continue to push forward UK-China economic and trade cooperation with the spirit of "Icebreaker".
