2013-06-13 17:16

During a press conference held on 7 June, 2013, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hong Lei answered the question about UK parliamentary committee report related to Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.

Q: The intelligence and security committee of the UK parliament aired on June 6 grave concern over the cooperation agreement between BT Group and Huawei Technologies Co Ltd. How does China respond?

A: China's telecommunications companies conduct international business in accordance with principles of the market economy. Cooperation between the Chinese company and relevant country is mutually beneficial. We hope that the UK could be objective and create a favorable environment for cooperation between Chinese and British companies.
