The two sides reviewed the implementation of the “China-UK Framework Agreement on Educational Cooperation Partnership”, which was signed on November 9 last year in the presence of the Chinese Primer and the British Prime Minister, and reached agreement on further deepening the bilateral cooperation including: in the field of basic education, strengthening policy dialogues and discussions, organizing trainings for primary and secondary school teachers and carrying out mandarin teaching cooperation and twinning projects among excellent primary and secondary schools; in the field of vocational education, jointly holding China-UK vocational education dialogues, establishing partnership among vocational education institutions and cooperating in the curriculum development in vocational education; and in the field of higher education, strengthening the development of high-level talents and the cooperation in scientific researches and expand student exchanges.

After the Summit, Mr. Yuan Guiren and Mr. Gove signed the "China-UK Education Partnership Action Plan". Both sides agreed that the signing of the Action Plan is an important milestone in the development of the educational relations between the two countries.
