On 25 March, Minister Ma Hui of the Chinese Embassy in the UK gave an interview on The Point with Liu Xin, CGTN, expounding China’s position on among others groundless sanctions against China and the impact of disinformation on China’s diplomacy.

Minister Ma took questions from the host Liu Xin on several issues, such as, how to view the EU, the US, Canada, and the UK using the so-called Xinjiang human rights issue to impose sanctions on relevant individuals and entities in China, the relationship between human rights and sovereignty, false reports and disinformation about China by the British media, and the concrete damage caused by false information to China-UK relations. He also shared his views on the China-related contents in The Integrated Review of Security, Defence, Development and Foreign Policy released by the UK Government, his experience of telling China’s stories via Twitter, and his work and life in the UK.
