On 10 November, Ambassador Liu Xiaoming had an on-line meeting with Lim Thuan Kuan, the new High Commissioner of Singapore to the UK.
Ambassador Liu extended welcome to the new High Commissioner. China-Singapore relationship has developed smoothly over the past 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, said the Ambassador, and in 2015 President Xi Jinping and leader of Singapore issued the joint statement on the establishment of an All-Round Cooperative Partnership Progressing with the Times, which charted the course for this relationship to develop further. Singapore is a good friend and partner of China. The two sides understand and support each other. He said that Singapore is ready to enhance exchanges and cooperation with China in various sectors and hoped that the two missions would strengthen communication, so as to make contribution to the development of Singapore-China relationship.
