A: Chinese government has protected lawful right and interests of all ethnic groups consistently and equally. From 1978 to 2018, the number of Uyghurs in Xinjiang has increased from 5.55 millions to 11.68 million, accounting for 46.8% of the total population in Xinjiang, twice as much as 40 years ago. The relevant allegations are pure disinformation and can not stand the test of facts.

We urge those media to uphold basic professional ethics of journalism, stop spreading rumor about Xinjiang and cease smearing China.
