On March 22, 2024, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs Wang Yi met with a delegation led by Secretary of the Secretariat and Chairman of the Commission for External Relations of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee Le Hoai Trung in Beijing.

Wang Yi said, in December last year, General Secretary Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Viet Nam, which was an epoch-making milestone in the history of relations between the two parties and the two countries. China is ready to intensify high-level exchanges with Viet Nam, deepen exchanges and mutual learning on theories and experiences of party and state governance, effectively advance exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and jointly advance the building of a China-Viet Nam community with a shared future.

Le Hoai Trung said, Viet Nam is willing to work with China to follow through on the important common understandings reached between the top leaders of the two parties, promote cooperation in various fields through inter-party channels and push for greater development of Viet Nam-China relations.
