1. Due to the current situation of COVID-19 outbreak in the UK, from 10 November 2020, the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC) in London will open on Tuesday (09:00--13:00) only.
2. For visa application:
1) Applicants with emergency humanitarian needs, for C-visa (issued to foreign crew members) or engaging in major economic, trade, scientific or technological activities in China shall fill in the online application form and make an appointment before submitting applications to CVASC.
Emergency humanitarian needs refer to 1) visiting an immediate family member (foreign nationals included) in China, including parent, spouse, child, grandparent and grandchild, who is in critical medical condition and in need of care, or 2) arranging funeral matters of an immediate family member in China;
Photocopies of medical certificate or death certificate, proof of relationship (including birth certificate, marriage certificate, Chinese household registration, certificate letter from the local police bureau in China, notarial certificate of kinship, etc.), and an invitation letter from relatives in China are required.
2) Applicants who hold ordinary passports and apply for ordinary visas for Hong Kong Special Administrative Region or Macao Special Administrative Region can submit materials to CVASC during business hours as indicated in paragraph 1. There is no need for pre-booked appointments.
3. For consular legalization, please submit the application during your time slot after booking an appointment on CVASC website.
4. To protect the health and safety of staff, applicants are required to respect CVASC protective measures, including wearing face masks and having their temperature taken.
