On 8 April 2024, H.E. Ambassador Zheng Zeguang visited the University of Oxford and met with Vice-Chancellor Irene Tracey of the University. Ambassador Zheng and Professor Tracey shared views on exchange and cooperation between Oxford and Chinese universities. Ambassador Zheng pointed out that China is firmly committed to advancing high-quality development and deepening reform and pursuing opening-up on all respects. The Chinese government supports Chinese universities in pursuing international exchanges. He said that China-UK collaboration on education has been mutually beneficial and hoped that Oxford’s cooperationwith China will delivermore fruitful outcomes. The students of Oxford and other British universities are welcome to China for study and exchanges. During the visit, Ambassador Zheng also had a talk with Professor Soumitra Dutta, Dean of Saïd Business School, the University of Oxford, visited the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Oxford Institute etc, and met with Chinese students studying at the University.
