Minister Wang Qi Attends and Addresses Opening of China Pavilion at WTM London 2025
2025-11-05 00:00

On 4 November, Minister Wang Qi of the Chinese Embassy in the UK attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the China Pavilion at the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025. The event was attended by over 300 guests, including representatives from VisitBritain and the World Travel & Tourism Council.

Minister Wang noted that the recent Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China underscored the importance of boosting China’s tourism sector by developing a broader range of high-grade tourism products and improving the quality of tourism services, thus drawing up a blueprint for the high-quality development of China’s tourism sector. China will strengthen tourism exchanges and cooperation with other countries, and make inbound travel more convenient and internationally oriented, so that “China Travel” and “Shop in China” become popular choices for foreign tourists. There is great potential for China-UK tourism cooperation, and the Chinese Embassy in the UK will continue to facilitate travel to China by British tourists.

This year’s China Pavilion, themed “China Tourism: Innovation, Integration, and Sustainable Development”, brings together 56 enterprises from 13 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, setting a record in both the scale of participation and exhibition area.
