On 4 November 2025, Minister Zhao Fei of the Chinese Embassy in the UK attended and delivered remarks at the “China Night—Nihao! China” tourism promotion event. The event brought together around 350 guests, including representatives from the China Cultural and Tourism Exchange Centre, the China National Tourist Office in London, the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), the European Travel Agents’ and Tour Operators’ Associations, and the World Travel Market London. Minister Zhao noted that the recent Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China outlined a series of strategic measures to further expand high-standard opening up, demonstrating China’s firm resolve and confidence in sharing opportunities and pursuing common development with countries around the world. China is making great efforts to develop a strong tourism sector, deepen the integration of culture and tourism, and further facilitate people-to-people exchanges. As a result, “China Travel” has become more diverse, convenient and enjoyable, attracting an increasing number of foreign visitors, including those from the UK. The Chinese Embassy in the UK stands ready to support deeper cooperation between the cultural and tourism sectors of both countries, help shape a new image of Chinese tourism, share new opportunities arising from China’s development, and build new bridges for people-to-people connectivity.
