On 10 Feburary 2020, Baron Dafydd Wigley wrote a letter to Ambassador Liu Xiaoming, in which he expressed solidarity with the Chinese government and people on fighting against Covid-19. Lord Wigley said that he and many of the UK people -- particularly people in Wales -- wish to convey their great sadness to the Chinese government and people at the impact of Covid-19, and their good wishes that the epidemic will soon be overcome. He and many in the UK admire the rapid steps taken by the Chinese government and the way in which China has cooperated with other nations to contain the epidemic.
