2023-06-01 23:35

On June 1, 2023, Vice President Han Zheng met in Beijing with Executive Chairman of Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited Ben Keswick.

Han Zheng said that the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) made it clear that it is the central task of the CPC to advance the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization. China upholds and practices true multilateralism, and works all out to advance the implementation of the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative put forward by President Xi Jinping. The world is a global village, and the trend of economic globalization will not change. China is committed to the fundamental national policy of reform and opening up, and its market with great potential and resilience will bring stability and certainty to global economic recovery and development. China supports multinational companies, including Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited, in achieving better development in China and jointly defending stable and unimpeded global industrial and supply chains.

Ben Keswick expressed thanks for the strong support of governments at all levels in China for the company's development in the country, and expressed optimism about the prospects of the Chinese market and the company’s consistent commitment to pursuing long-term development in China for win-win results.
