On January 16, 2023, President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolence to Nepali President Bidya Devi Bhandari over the crash of a passenger plane in Nepal.

Xi Jinping expressed his shock learning of the crash of a passenger plane in Nepal, which caused heavy casualties. On behalf of the Chinese government and people, he would like to extend deep condolences to the victims and sincere sympathies to their bereaved families.

Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council sent a message of condolence the same day to Nepali Prime Minister Puspa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
