In order to improve the Chinese visa application services, the Chinese Embassy and Consulates in the U.K .will start to host the newly developed online application form submission and appointment booking system at www.visaforchina.org from 10th December 2018. Applicants will be required to fill their online electronic application forms and pre-book appointment time slots. For more detailed information, please refer to the attachment.

From 10th Dec 2018 to 16th Dec 2018, applicants can still use the existing physical paper application forms of version 2013 . Starting From 17th Dec 2018, all applications will have to be submitted through the online application system, the Chinese Embassy and Consulates in the U.K. will cease to accept applications  forms of version 2013.

For diplomatic, service or courtesy visa applicants, it is not required to pre-book application appointments. The applicants will only need to complete the online application forms through www.visaforchina.org, then proceed to submit hard copies and get biometric information collected at the Chinese Embassy or Consulates in the U.K.
