
On 18 April 2024, H.E. Ambassador Zheng Zeguang paid a field trip to London Electric Vehicle Company's factory in Anstey, Coventry. Accompanied by Chris Allen, Managing Director of London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC), Ambassador Zheng and his delegation toured the assembly line and innovation centre of the factory, and had discussions with LEVC executives. Ambassador Zheng spoke positively of the achievements of LEVC over the past 18 years since its establishment. He pointed out that Geely, by integrating advanced Chinese automotive manufacturing technology with the century-old experience of British auto industry, has made significant contributions to the upgrading of purpose-built taxis and green and low-carbon development in the UK, and LEVC has become a landmark project of Chinese auto industry’s investment in the UK. He expressed his best wishes for LEVC’s continued success. Counsellor Hua Mei, wife of the Ambassador, Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs Bao Ling, Minister Counsellor for Pres and Publi Affairs Bi Haibo, and Counsellor for Political Affairs Kong Xiangwen were present at the trip. Fang Wenjian, Chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce in the UK, and Jenny Jin, Executive Director of LEVC attended the activity.
