Q: The Telegraph has reported that three Chinese nationals thought to be working as intelligence officers for China's Ministry of State Security arrived in the UK under the false pretext of working for Chinese state media, and have been expelled from the UK in the last 12 months. Our request for comment to the Chinese embassy in London went unanswered. As such, can MOFA please respond today on this issue?
A: I haven't heard of this situation. What I know is that our journalists in the UK have been doing their work in accordance with local laws. The British side has made unjustified political crackdown on the Chinese media out of ideological bias.
