On 4 December 2024, Counsellor Hua Mei, wife of Ambassador Zheng Zeguang, hosted a Chinese Morning Tea Cultural Salon, inviting diplomatic spouses and female diplomats in the UK to experience Chinese morning tea culture.

In her remarks, Counsellor Hua Mei said that morning tea gives special expression to the charm of profound and diverse Chinese culture. We are willing to use culture as a medium to strengthen communication, understanding, and friendship with people across the world. China is committed to working with all countries to implement the Global Civilization Initiative and build a community with a shared future for mankind.
