Minister Zhao Fei attends “Investment in Tianjin for Win-Win Cooperation” promotion event
2024-12-06 16:40

On 2 December 2024, on behalf of H.E. Ambassador Zheng Zeguang, Minister Zhao Fei attended the “Investment in Tianjin for Win-Win Cooperation” promotion event at invitation in London. The event was hosted by Tianjin Municipal People's Government with the participation of Vice-Mayor of Tianjin Li Wenhai and more than 50 representatives from the Chinese and British business communities.

In his speech at the event, Minister Zhao Fei pointed out that when meeting with Prime Minister Keir Starmer on the sidelines of the G20 Summit, President Xi Jinping stressed that China and the UK should stick to the positioning of strategic partnership, further expand the cooperation in such areas as trade and investment, clean energy, financial services, healthcare and people's well-being, to better benefit the people of both nations. Tianjin and the UK have great potential and broad prospects for deepening mutually beneficial economic and trade cooperation. We hope that the business communities of the two sides will give full play to their distinctive advantages and take positive actions to achieve more fruitful outcomes.

Vice-Mayor Li Wenhai presented Tianjin’s business environment and development advantages. China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Tianjin Sub-council signed a memorandum of cooperation with the China-Britain Business Council.
