
On May 26, 2023, Minister Yang Xiaoguang attended the opening ceremony of the 12th London Business School China Business Forum and delivered a speech. Stephen Perry, Chairman of the 48 Group Club in the UK, Nina Bohn, Director of External Relations of London Business School, and more than 200 attendees from various sectors of business and academia from China and the UK participated in the event online and offline. In his speech, Minister Yang stated that China is unwavering in its commitment to high-level opening up, adheres to an open strategy of mutual benefit, and will inject new impetus for economic globalisation that is more open, inclusive, balanced and beneficial for all. He highlighted that China’s vast market and great economic potential will provide more opportunities for the world, including the UK. He expressed hope that the two countries will complement each other with their respective strengths to augment cooperation in traditional areas such as trade, investment and infrastructure, expand collaboration in new fields including health care, financial technology and digital economy, and strive to create new highlights of cooperation in clean energy, low-carbon technology and green development, so as to bring more growth and prosperity to both sides.
