On February 24, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in the UK held a meeting with the diplomats from the 2022-2023 Oxford University Diplomatic Studies Programme. Chargé d'Affaires ad interim Yang Xiaoguang and heads of relevant offices of the Embassy attended the meeting.

Chargé d'Affaires Yang gave a comprehensive introduction on China's development prospects and China’s foreign policy as well as The Global Security Initiative Concept Paper and China’s Position on the Political Settlement of the Ukraine Crisis, two policy papers recently issued by the Chinese government, and took questions regarding international and regional hotspot issues of interest to the diplomats.

The programme is joined by diplomats from 17 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Brazil, Thailand, Belgium, Ukraine, Uganda, and Kyrgyzstan.
