Embassy Spokesperson on the UK side's announcement to completely remove Chinese-made surveillance equipment from sensitive sites
2024-04-30 23:19

Question: According to media reports, British officials recently said that all Chinese-made surveillance equipment would be removed from sensitive sites by April 2025. What is your comment?

Embassy Spokesperson: The Chinese Embassy in the UK already responded to the relevant issue on 7 June 2023. I want to reiterate that we firmly oppose the UK side's discriminatory practices against Chinese companies under the pretext of national security. We urge the UK side to stop political manipulation and provide a fair, just and non-discriminatory environment for Chinese companies’ normal operations in the UK.
